We received an email outlining Ed Matters scholarships.  I know they are applicable to our 12s.

For the 11s and 10s I always recommend making a big list of scholarships.  Hunting for them in 10 and 11 helps you prepare for them in 12.  Also applying to everything even if you slightly don't match is good as if they don't have many applicants you might just get it.

On behalf of Education Matters I am sending out these  CTS/Skilled Trades  related scholarship opportunities.  Included is the launch of a new award for award for students who are enrolling in post-secondary trade/vocational programs by January 2025. This award is called the “Student Further Education Career Launch Bursary”   Typically some of these do not get a lot of applicants  and Ed Matters is keen to award ALL of them.

The opportunities above include:

Student Further Education Career Launch Bursary  (NEW)

specifically for students entering trades or vocational programs

20 awards - $4000 each

Kermet Archibald Jacoba Van den Brink Entrance Bursary

hard sciences, engineering, geology, biology, veterinary medicine, pre-med, health sciences 

OR

Designnated Trades programs

amount depends on the program

Eimer Scholarship Fund Award for Healthcare

Practical Health Care programs related directly to patient care

Education Matters Career Pathways Student Award

Vocational, Technical or Trades related studies

Cit of Calgary Post-Secondary Scholarship

Any field of study

$1700

Southland Transportation Scholarship

Automotive/heavy duty (repair or technology), the transportation industry (tourism/hospitality/transportation), or business related (human resources, personnel management)
